Face and Neck – LiftingThe facial aging process is caused by a series of changes in the skin, for instance: the atrophy of the dermis, the destruction of the elastic fibers, and the atrophy of the sebaceous glands which give the skin a dry appearance. Anesthesia for Facial LiftingThe procedure is done with general anesthesia or local anesthesia and sedation. Pre-OperationMedical photographs will be taken before the operation, which will show the face in great detail. These photographs will help to evaluate your face and your eyes before the operation, and are used as reference points in the operating room. Surgical Time for Facial LiftingThe real surgical time will vary depending on each patient. A facial lifting normally takes about two hours. The normal stay in the clinic is three nights. You will check in an hour and a half before your operation and you will check out three days later. Post-OperationWe begin to remove the stitches 5 to 7 days after the surgery.
