Introduction

Presentation

A scalp with no signs of baldness has between 100,000 and 150,000 hairs with an aesthetic mission, but also a psychological one that can express part of our personality, offering us the possibility of changing our appearance.

Between 50 and 100 hairs fall from our head everyday and many others begin to grow.  It’s the natural balance of the loss-growth of hair.  The problem arises when this balance is altered and we begin to lose more hair than what we grow.  40% of men feel that with the loss of hair they are also losing some of their attractiveness.  On the other side, thinning hair with no body affects 20% of women, altering their confidence and self-esteem.

It consists of individually extracting the follicles from the donor zone instead of extracting an entire strip.  These follicular units of 1, 2, 3, or 4 hairs are extracted with the surrounding structures (capillary vessels, sebaceous gland, muscle…)

Balding Crown Reduction

WHAT IS IT ?

In the consult with the doctor, a balding crown reduction may be recommended for masculine alopecia.  The result is a reduction in the size of the bald or balding areas, which are on the top and back of the head in most cases (50%-90%).  In many cases it minimizes the number of transplants needed to achieve the patient’s density and abundance objectives for the top and back of the head.
