Programs for Cellulite and Flaccidity

What is Cellulite?

Cellulite has two components which are present in almost all cases.  It is localized and can’t be eliminated by diets or exercise.  On top of this, cellulite isn’t only fat, it is has different consistencies including water, fat, toxic residues trapped in capsules under the skin which can’t be moved.  These “capsules” are very difficult to change with diets.  If someone does a diet, the organism tends to lose weight from other parts of the body but not much from the areas with cellulite, and sometimes nothing.  Perhaps a brief visual improvement but in the end it is only covering the problem.

To achieve the best results, the appropriate diet and treatment will be the ones which clean and purify the body of excess water and toxins without favoring indiscriminate fat burning.

Cellulite has a small relation with feminine hormones and for this reason it begins to appear with puberty and these hormones basically aggravate the area when the relation of estrogen-progesterone rises in women.

The first symptoms begin to show with puberty and it is very important to treat them as quickly as possible.  A lot of cases of cellulite are hereditary, but nowadays a daughter doesn’t have to assume that her legs or hips will be like her mother’s necessarily, the daughter can prevent it.  As we said before, it is best to start treatment early and take control of the problem.  Circulatory problems and obesity can also influence the appearance of cellulite.  If the necessary precautions are taken for genetics to not be a determining factor, the problem can be controlled.

You have to work on the aesthetic appearance, but not only this because it would only cover the problem.  The problem itself must be treated more deeply and internal and external toxins must be eliminated.

CAUSES THAT TRIGGER CELLULITE

Cellulite is caused by many factors.  There is rarely only one motive which we can blame for the appearance of cellulite, but some causes could be:

• Sedentary life
• Stress, tension, and nerves
• Bad eating habits
• Hormonal disorders
• Fatigue
• Constipation, not enough liquid intake
• Consumption of alcohol
• Changes in circulation, varicose veins
• Being in places with bad air, smog, not enough oxygen
• Bad posture at work

DIFFERENT GRADES OF CELLULITE

In medicine you can’t begin a treatment without having a precise diagnosis first.  Only with a diagnosis can you establish personalized procedure for each patient. Not all patients are the same, nor is all cellulite the same, and personally designed treatments are the most effective.

CELLULITE ACCORDING TO CONSISTENCY

GRADE 1: HARD COMPACT

The epidermis is very tense and feels grainy under your fingers.  This cellulite doesn’t change if you stand up or lie down.  It can be sensitive to touch.  The most common area for this type of cellulite is in the bottom half of the body.  We can especially find it on the back and sides of the upper leg and on the insides of the knees.  If cellulite is hard it is recent cellulite.  It also appears in the gastric area and the back of the neck.

GRADE 2: SOFT OR FLACCID

It is a spongy tissue, affected by gravity, and it moves whey you change positions.  It is rarely painful and it normally affects the back of the upper leg and arm.  It is common in people over 40 years old.  It can be considered as an evolution of compact cellulite left untreated.  It is important to point out that this is the most frequent kind of cellulite.  We usually see a sudden appearance of “orange peel” skin.

GRADE 3: EDEMATOUS

It has a doughy, lumpy consistency and it is sometimes sensitive to touch.  It is confirmed by objective and subjective signs of insufficient blood and/or lymphatic circulation such as edemas, varicose veins, blotched red spots, dyschromia, capillary fragility, sensations of heaviness and tension, itching, cramps, and tiredness.  In the calf-ankle area the leg gets a column like appearance.  This appears early, usually with puberty, and it is less frequent than hard or soft cellulite.

GRADE 4: MIXED

During the personalized program, patients pass through different phases where professional specialists will apply specialized treatments to meet the pre-determined needs of each patient.

All of our treatments are minimally invasive, day patient procedures, with proven results.
